New Me BEFORE New Years

I havent blogged in a while, because i have been overcome by choices, temptations, and struggles. It took me way to long to realize that God is there the whole time. He never leaves and never changes, even when you've changed, or given up on Him. He will never give up on us. I wish it wouldn't have taken me so long to understand that I don't need all the distractions in my life. Distractions such as friends that smoke and drink. I held on to those friends for too long. They were holding me back from so much and dragging me down into their dark world. I started making bad choices, and I would regret them later. I became an emotional head case, in softball, school, and just life. I would take my frustrations out on myself. I couldn't control my emotions. I finally decided i needed some help. I confided in someone who has been through what i was going through. She helped me realize that I couldn't solve my problems by myself. I recently rededicated my life to Christ. Best Decision I've made. I am all in for Christ now. I don't need anything else but Him.

Earlier, I was thinking about New Years. Normally, I would come up with a New Years Resolution. But this year, I've decided I don't need one. Anyways, the only "Resolution" someone should have is to  live more like Christ, and that should be all the time. New Years Resolutions, in my opinion, are pointless. People typically say, "New Year, New Me". Well that might last all of about two days. Unless your saying goodbye to your old self and bringing Christ into your life, nothings going to change.  Remember that. Happy New Year!

Society is Prejudice

Never Judge someone until you know their circumstances. You may never know what a person has gone through. You may say something to that person, and you may think nothing of it... but they might take it literally and remember it. What you say could turn into the cause of the scars on their once beautiful skin. Society says that you have to have perfect skin, perfect hair... God made us as beautiful individuals. Watch what you say next time. You might be able to bandage the wounds, but you can never fix a heart.
